CTD’s Torque motor is a brushless solution, ideal for the application that requires high torque at low speed with minimal size. For example speed control systems, rotary tables or robotic arms. It uses magnetic energy to generate higher torque at much lower speeds. Providing greater efficiency and power, it can be mounted directly to the driven load and supply direct drive motion to the control axes.

Direct-drive motors represent an attractive solution for all applications that need to drive rotary axis types with high torque at low speed. However, we know that each application has its own needs and constraints. That’s why CTD's torque motor range offers you torque motors with housing or without housing.
Unimotor DD - Frameless torque motor
The frameless design is ideal for the OEM that wants easy integration into their machines. To be performant and efficient, this torque motor has a brushless design and is a package with two parts: a stator - that is directly mounted to your machine - and a permanent magnet rotor.

Unimotor DD - Housed torque motor
CTD's Housed Torque motor is a brushless servomotor in complete form with the same advantages as the Frameless torque motor in terms of high torque density, accuracy and reliability. It offers a complete solution for applications where there is no interest to integrate the motor as an active part of the machine itself. This design allows protection of the motor against water spray and dust when mounted and connected. The degree of protection of this series is IP65.

Hollow shaft offers a greater flexibility of placement because less mounting volume is required and the large central through bore allows easy integration of cables, cooling tubes or other components.
